 Dam Battlegrounds Raid Guide

The first map in the game is Dam Battlegrounds. Do not be fooled by the idea that this is going to be an enjoyable experience. This map's smaller size increases the chances of encounters. The ARCs are also a threat, perhaps more so than the other players. This is especially true when you are just getting started. This Dam Battlegrounds guide will cover the majority of what you need to learn about the map. We will discuss loot, mini- and non-mini-bosses and the best loot paths. We'll also go over the Harvester event, and provide a list with extraction points. Let's start!

 Dam Battlegrounds Loot guide

There are a lot of loot options in ARC Raiders. We'll cover all the loot in a separate article. This Dam Battlegrounds loot guides will cover the different loot types and the best locations to loot.

 Loot Types

Arc Raiders has a wide variety of loot compared to other extracting shooters. In this game, you'll be crafting more than buying stuff. Understanding loot will help you avoid overfilling your limited inventory.

Don't focus on the rarity. Gray loot is often more useful, especially in the early stages of the game. You can easily fill your small backpack with useless items, as it is so small. You should prioritize what you will need now over what you may need later.

 The Best Places To Loot

The best looting spots are marked on the map in ARC Raiders. The polygons are either red or green, and they indicate the boundaries of the territories. The loot in green locations like Water Treatment Control Complex, Power Generation Complex and Testing Annex is moderate. The best loot is found in red locations like Hydroponic Dome Complex and Control Tower. Colors also indicate the level of activity within a zone. The red zones will have the most players and ARCs.

It's interesting to note that you don’t have to always go to these places to get the best possible loot. It's possible it could spawn elsewhere. You can also find loot in areas where it should not spawn. You can find Nature items in the industrial zone. Here are the best loot spots on the Dam Battlegrounds Map:

Research & Administration is less intense than Control Tower despite sharing the same building. There is a lot of loot from the Commercial and Technical sectors. In the second-floor staff rooms, you may find a weapons case.

Pale Apartments: Although not on the map, you'll find a ton of Commercial loot as well as Electrical and Mechanical. This is a pretty cool spot as it's located on the edge of the map.

Dam Surveillance Room is in the Control Tower. It's a separate locati0n because it has some of the most valuable loot in the game. You'll need the Dam Surveillance Key to get there. Here, you'll always find a weapon crate.

Control Tower Room: On the top, you'll find a room where PvP is always allowed. This is because in this room you can find 5 possible weapon crates, along with other rare materials and blueprints.

It will spawn Nature, Industrial and Security loot. Mind you, these are some of the most valuable loots in the game. You can always rely on this place for rare weapons and upgrades.

South Swamp Outpost is a great place to loot. Here you can find field crates.

The places on this list are great for loot but are they good for loot runs regularly? Maybe some of them. The following chapter will help you avoid the majority of fights.

Best Loot Path for Dam Battlegrounds

This is the route we take when we want to run casually and with minimal resistance. Use it now before we change the route. You can still encounter people fighting as they will always be running around. Surprisingly though, most people do not want to fight. Just say you're friendly, and they will let you go. It's ARCs that you need to worry about the most. Here's a guide to the best loot in Dam Battlegrounds.

You can find a lot of loot at the bottom of Control Tower. Keys can also spawn in this area. The keys you find may be for another map, and not the one where they were found. Beware of other Raiders.

Many mechanical and industrial products can be upgraded through Water Treatment Control. If you do not need to upgrade any items right now, then skip this step.

Rush to the South Swamp Outpost. You may find a weapon crate inside one of the domes. There are many medical supplies lying around. A field crate can be found here. You can find them by looking around, since they usually spawn near the locati0n and provide the best loot.

The Hydroponic Dome Complex is a warzone because it has many weapon crate spawns. Always go there last and if you find it unlooted then you are in luck.

Then, find the nearest extraction point and return back to Speranza. Talking of extraction points.

 Dam Battlegrounds Extract Points

The core gameplay of ARC Raiders is dominated by extraction. It is not possible to extract in silence like other extraction shooters. When you begin the extraction point there is a loud meowing noise. So, you can let everyone know that you have launched a train towards Speranza. Here is where most of the fighting takes place. If they have been camping nearby, you can try to convince them not to fight. In total, there are four extraction points. They are listed in no particular order:

Swampside Elevator : This is one of the most dangerous elevators, because it's located near the Control Tower where the majority of players are. The Leaper is often seen guarding it. It is only useful if you are running out of time. Most of the time it will close around 20 minutes after the raid began.

Red Lakes Balcony Lift is the favorite place for those who don't want to fight after the Control Tower. It is usually the most open.

North Complex Elevator is generally safe as there are not many people who go there. It's usually because most of the loot-worthy places are located in the southern part of the map. You'll also have to traverse a large open area with no cover.

Swamp Extraction - Another extraction point which stays up for quite a while. People who do not closely monitor the remaining time are more likely to take their loot from this area. This means that the people who are here have the biggest loot. Before you blindly call the extraction, observe if you're one of these people. Campers can hide in many places. If you find campers, kill them. It's not worth pretending to be friendly. Try to convince other players not to fight you if they are heading your way. Most of the time, these are late-arriving players who have loot and don't want to risk losing it.

It's important to not try to loot if you arrive later in the raid. Around the 15 minute mark. It's likely that all loot has already been done. Even though I'm hesitant to say this, you should try to camp players near the extraction points. The best locati0n for this is Swamp Extraction.

 Dam Battlegrounds Bosses

The Dam Battlegrounds only have three bosses: the goofy Leaper (as well as the Rocketeer and Queen). They all pose a threat, but one is less dangerous than the other. Except for the Queen, bosses almost always spawn close to the extracts. Pay attention to your weapon's ARC Armor Penetration if you plan to fight them. Some weapons work well against people while others work against ARCs. Now that we've cleared up the issue of bosses, let's move on.

 Leaper

It's fun to watch him and fight against him. It is dangerous. It can jump a long way. You may think that you are out of reach. It releases a powerful shockwave when it gets close to you. After that, you're likely to be knocked down. It's easy to defeat. Leaper cannot get through a space that is too small. Shoot at its legs and you'll see the weak points. You can also shoot at its eye. You will need to buy a lot of ammunition. You'll be making a lot more noise. The main threat to the game isn't the Leaper, but rather other players.

 Rocketeer

This is the most dangerous mini boss in Dam Battlegrounds. During playtests, this piece of work was the one that killed most players. It is best to avoid Rocketeer. If you must fight it, or if it has already been detected, it will be a tough battle. You can't avoid the rockets it will fire. Avoid the missiles by listening to the audio instructions. Wait and hide behind cover. You can shoot the thrusters after the rocket barrage has ended. Remember that they are heavily armored. This ARC is not only extremely difficult to handle, but it is usually surrounded by smaller ARCs such as Wasps or Hornets. It's almost as difficult as fighting the queen. Talking of which.

 The Queen

It's not that difficult to take down the Queen. It takes a lot more time, ammunition, and, ideally, a team. The Rocketeer is always there, so yeah. Fun times. Shoot the glowing nodes first, and then the minions. She will then open a hatch behind her to reveal her brain after you have stunned her. Shoot her weak points on her legs or while she is charging her laser. It's the best loot in the game but the time it takes to get it means you will likely be attacked multiple times by other Raiders.

It is a good idea to bombard bosses with grenades. It is possible to kill them with guns, but it takes a lot of resources. Early in the game, we do not recommend battling them.

 Dam Battlegrounds Harvester Guide

The Queen is docile unless it's attacked on purpose. She will only become aggressive if you do a Harvester Mini-Puzzle. This section of the article contains a detailed Dam Battlegrounds Harvester Guide.

The Harvester is spawned near the Red Lakes in the southeast corner of the map. You can find a Queen ARC drone, which looks like a spider. It guards where the puzzle is. It's right next to a huge turbine.

A timer controls the opening and closing of the doors. After entering the turbine you will hear a sound. The turbine will start to fire all around you after the signal. It may occasionally launch an electric charge that will destroy your shields but not your HP. Therefore, it is best to remove them beforehand. Fire drains your HP quickly, so you should get out of the way as soon as possible.

You'll find the canisters on an upper "deck" inside the turbine. You can extract them from certain spots. After you've removed a canister from the core, go back to the center. It will require you to interact with the core to unlock the slots where the canisters are placed. The yellow alarms will begin blinking once you have placed all the canisters. They should be destroyed. You can then open up containers that contain loot. These containers can also be filled with blueprints that will allow you to create new weapons.

The core will stop damage once the containers have been opened. After that, you can safely take the insides of the turbine. You only have to get out of this area. You can be certain that pesky raiders are waiting outside for you. Don't forget the Rocketeer, before you go to the Harvester. It's probably best to have said this at the start. It'll be fun if you read until the end.
